A year ago, Mathius put the fear of God into the SEF when an incident with an unstable wormhole and a solar flare revealed the future threat of an epidemic that would wipe out humanity. In response to this, the Stargate Expeditionary Force explored a great many possible ways to counter this threat. Some were documented and authorised, and some were not. Not all of these produced tangible results.

With the loss of the Delta Site, the SEF see no reason to cease and desist these actions as there is still a powerful enemy facing them.

Among those possible ways still being explored are diplomatic requests for assistance from allies and... acquaintances. Whilst belated, now that the threat of Mathius has passed, the SEF is now to play host to a number of diplomatic contingents from the GGC, the Silvalis, the Ethernauts, the Tok'ra, and a small alliance of 'Independent Traders' led by Lavil, with a view to discussing terms of alliance and mutual defence.

With the recent attacks by foes long thought defeated and the consequences of history looming large, our heroes' minds turn unbidden to lost comrades, and roads less travelled. If the summit fails, the consequences could be catastrophic and far reaching, but if the efforts of the SEF teams are successful it may be possible to correct past mistakes.
