Description

'The Beast Awakens' is a Live Action Roleplay (LARP) game inspired on the collective works of the writers of Cthulhu Mythos.

The game is set in 1936 in the Borough of Bury, in Lancashire where members of the European Monarchist Union to discuss the growing hostilities in Spain between the Nationalists (supported by USA) and the Republicans (supported Russia). Diplomats from Russia, Spain, the USA are expected to attend, as well as other neutral countries like France.

The game is largely investigation, based with social interaction and combat thrown in for good measure, and uses a simple game mechanic balancing Intellect against Physique whilst allowing you to play the Profession of your choice (if its not listed we can sort something out).

The game uses reactive Storytelling so your actions decide where the story goes. You will face all manner of things to unsettle you as a Player, though we leave it up to you to roleplay this accordingly. Players are expected to dress accordingly in the styles of the 1930's and 40's but weapons will be provided in the game.

The event includes indoor accommodation and is fully catered.
