Deep in the heart of Antiope, the Wyches Conclave was working hard to maintain the protections in the centre of the city. A deep feeling of unease had settled over them all for days, until Kairi the Deathless uttered a fearsome prophecy, “No one warned us! They are changing! Westfell will change forever!” Her words hung thickly in the air around them, like a cloying smog, but none had the courage to speak of it.It happened shortly afterwards, as they went about their daily routine. One by one, the Wyches fell to the floor, not in pain, but relief. The heavy pressure, the constant burning sensation of being watched by one you cannot not see, eased. The gaze was gone. The eye had closed.
In the following days, Antiope fell into a frenzy, trying to work out what had caused this and what to do about it. Some claimed they had won, their fight against Tenya finally had come to an end and some yet-unknown hero would soon be revealed with the great tale of their salvation. Others, more skeptical, called for investigations - yet their discussions came quickly to a halt with news from the Western Mountain border. Two Kiphate legions had marched across the grey mountain passes, straight into the heartlands of Westfell. The once-impenetrable natural defences of Tenya's presence over the mountains had, in a blink, transformed into a gaping wound in the side of Westfell.
The herds rode out to meet the Kiphate armies, some heading around the forces and into the mountains, looking to stem the tide of the Kiphate war machine. Reports of Doors to the Wilde Realm emerged, but in different locations - appearing one day and disappearing the next. Was it one door, moving, or multiple doors, flashing in and out of the Realm - and had they all been found?
The Expedition have been called to head to the mountains to investigate the door (or door’s) and support the Westfell herds in defending the mountain passes, acting as a relief force to keep the Nomads' home safe.
