Midnight is a strange city, with the great over city, the hidden gardens and the under city all controlled by a Syndicate of minor houses, who's strange (and to some minds unnatural) alliance has created a power base that troubles even the great houses.

With all the political upheaval in Melnisia they have opened the city to all: to take part in:
- The Great Exhibition: A chance to show off your art to the Syndicate
- The Arena: A chance to take part in the battles between slaves in the Arena
- A Trip to the Theatre: The theatre is a massive part of Midnight's culture. Those who attend will be expected to attend and if at all possible to put on their own play or poem.

And in the midst of this, the question will be answered: where does Midnight stand in the war between Emperors.
