Decryption complete.

Recipient(s): All active regiments on Zennor.

Subject(s): Emergency Action. Survive, Resist, Regroup.

Message reads:
From Zennor Ground Command group, Lieutenant Commander Jackson Reed.

This is an open transmission to all remaining TSA forces on Zennor.
As you are no doubt aware, our forces have been ambushed across the planet by a Vrede force of unknown origin. This was a planet-wide occurrence. Our estimated losses are in the region of 40%; unfortunately this cannot be confirmed due to communication blackouts. We do not know the reasons behind this attack or if this is the first move against the Terran Sovereignty by the Vrede as a whole.

Vrede members in our forces seem to be just as shocked as we are about this turn of events. The hostile Vrede forces have been observed killing our allied Vrede with no hesitation. Indeed, the Vrede assigned to our forces have proven invaluable in dealing with various technologies deployed against us.

However, the situation is grim. Our forces are split and the One Bakkar continue to be a menace, although they also seem to be the target of these attacks by the Vrede, granting us some respite. Communications and transportation to our ships in orbit has been cut. We can only assume that the situation in orbit is equally grim, as ships crashing from orbit have been reported across the planet.

I have attached to this transmission orders relevant to your specific taskforce. Most of the command at this post are dead and we expect to be overrun soon when the Vrede trace this transmission. We must resist long enough for reinforcements to arrive and ensure that they don't fall into the same traps we did.

Additional(s):
Orders for: ‘The Green Cloaks’ taskforce.
All active members: 109th Light Infantry, Kingskeep 98th, Delmont 205th, 23rd Heavy Infantry.

Assuming you are still in an operational state and near your last recorded co-ordinates, these are your orders.
A TSN Battleship has been detected in a low decaying orbit. We calculate that it will crash in an area near you soon. You should be able to get to the area shortly after it makes planetfall. It is believed that this is one of our command battleships and may contain high-ranking officers of vital importance to the war effort as well as the equipment required to re-establish communications with the TSN in the Cluster.

Make your way to the co-ordinates #D92-AD - #L12-KD. This is the calculated crash site. Recover any communication equipment and warn the TSN about the Vrede threat before they fall into the same trap. Rescue any personnel on the ship before they can be interrogated by the Vrede.

We have a number of recruits we are sending your way to meet up and reinforce you. Given the difficult conditions we cannot say exactly how many will make it.

Additionally, a large number of defectors from various regiments have been reported heading your way. We do not know the reason behind this, so please be cautious.

Assuming there is anyone still alive to receive this: good luck, Green Cloaks. Our hopes rest with you.

Personal note(s):
If anyone survives this please let my family know that I love them.

Lieutenant Commander Jackson Reed, highest rank surviving officer of Zennor Ground Command group sector #DF-882
